Spoiler warning: this article reveals the ending of The Apartment Job (Netflix), including the arrest of the One Club members, the resolution of the condominium’s missing funds and Park Hae-gang’s professional future.
Episode 12 of The Apartment Job brings the story to a close with Lee Chung-won’s downfall and the collapse of the One Club. The finale completes Park Hae-gang’s transformation as he gives up his single-minded pursuit of money to protect his allies, while also revealing what comes next for the team professionally.
The story wraps up its central criminal plot and shows the legal consequences faced by everyone involved, leaving little room for a second season.
The Reserve Fund’s Location and the Trap
The series finally resolves the mystery of the missing money when Park Hae-gang locates the 17.8 billion won reserve fund. Lee Chung-won had hidden the money inside an unoccupied apartment in the True Value condominium complex itself.
Lizard initially escapes with the money, but the story soon reveals that his escape was part of Lee Chung-won’s plan. Chung-won was using his ally as bait to lure Hae-gang into a trap. Aware of the danger, Hae-gang chooses to intervene, prioritizing his partner’s rescue over immediately recovering the money.
After saving his ally and surviving the confrontation with Chung-won, Hae-gang recovers the 17.8 billion won and turns his attention to exposing the corruption network behind everything.
The One Club’s Downfall
The antagonist group is ultimately brought down when its secrets are exposed to the public. The One Club, which included powerful figures such as the chief prosecutor, the presidential chief secretary, a Supreme Court justice and the president of the Gongyeong Ilbo newspaper, planned to strike a deal that would secure a lighter sentence for Lee Chung-won while protecting the rest of the group.
Their plan falls apart when Park Hae-gang releases audio and video recordings of Lee Chung-won confessing to his crimes, including murder.
The evidence brings down not only Chung-won but every member of the One Club, effectively dismantling the organization and the network of power that had protected it.
What Happens to the Supporting Characters
The series uses a time jump in its epilogue to reveal what happens to the supporting characters:
Lizard, director Choi Young-jae and Kang Ha-jung serve their sentences and are eventually released.
Kang Ha-jung marries Kang-nam and opens a bakery, fulfilling her dream of building a career in the confectionery business.
Kang Ha-ri graduates and achieves her goal of becoming a lawyer.
Jegil continues his studies and earns several academic scholarships.

The New Office and Hae-gang’s Relationship
The ending completes Park Hae-gang’s moral transformation. After initially focusing on the financial opportunities he could gain from the condominium, he decides to build a legal practice dedicated to protecting residents and exposing housing-related corruption.
Hae-gang recruits Kang Ha-ri, Lizard and the rest of the team to establish Jeongsan Law Firm, which specializes exclusively in investigating and auditing irregularities at condominium complexes.
The series also confirms that working together brings Hae-gang and Ha-ri closer, marking the beginning of a romantic relationship between them.
The finale ends with one last detail that brings the story full circle: the new firm’s first client is the True Value condominium itself.
By returning the team to the place where everything began, The Apartment Job closes its central story on a definitive note.
